Sawyer Shepard graduated from St. Thomas University School of Law in May of 2026 and will be joining our firm as an Associate Attorney in October of 2026 after admission to the Minnesota Bar. Sawyer joined Mark D. Kelly Criminal Defense in 2022, initially in a legal support role, and then as the firm’s Law Clerk while attending law school. Sawyer has been in integral part of our team while gaining invaluable experience in all aspects of criminal defense law.
Sawyer graduated Summa Cum Laude in Philosophy and Economics from Lake Forest College in 2021. After graduating from college, Sawyer worked for a corporate law firm in Chicago, Illinois, developing hands-on experience in tax, real estate and business law.
Sawyer lives in St. Paul, Minnesota with his wife Annie. In their free time, Sawyer and Annie enjoy hockey, traveling, and spending time with their two dogs.
